Edgewater Pump Station

The BCUA C-210-A project involves constructing a new pump station and decommissioning the Edgewater Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF), redirecting flow to the Little Ferry WPCF.

The Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) project C-210-A encompasses the construction, commissioning, and startup of a new pump station, as well as the decommissioning of the existing water pollution control facility in Edgewater, New Jersey.  This initiative is a crucial part of a broader effort to modernize infrastructure and greatly enhance water management efficiency within the region, ensuring compliance with State mandates and effectively addressing both current and future water management requirements.

The project is focused on the Construction of a state-of-the-art pump station designed to transfer sewage from the Edgewater Plant to the Little Ferry WPCF.  This facility is equipped with the capacity and capabilities needed to meet the stringent statewide Water Quality Management standards and regulatory compliance. Upon the start-up and commissioning of the new Edgewater Pump Station, the existing treatment facility will be taken offline, shutdown, and decommissioned
